Kommersant:

[Vladimir Putin said] that Russia would never do anything to disturv [sic] such a balance [in the Middle East]. He also said that in the Russian experts’ opinion that the terrorists would have no chance to get the systems for they are not portable and Russia would have opportunity to know where they were any moment.

Israel is skeptical about this declaration. The Israeli experts say the systems are easy to be dismantled [from carrier trucks].

This way or another, but the scandal can cause many troubles to Russia. First of all, these are the new problems in the relations with the USA, especially before the Russian-American summit in Bratislava, due to take place on February 28. It’s not hard to realize why USA is against the bargain. The Russian Strelets can be used against the American aviation. It is also possible that relations with Israel will become less friendly.

The diplomatic sources say that Israel is about to revise the role of Russia in the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli problem.
